Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I grew up drawing and creating things throughout most of my childhood. Excelling in art class in high school, I went on to study Industrial Design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a focus on special effects make-up. I left Pittsburgh in 1999 and returned to Michigan.
A painter at heart, at my easel I finds comfort in abstract expression, revealing the structural and geometrical elements found in nature from the chaos of a violent brush stroke.
I live in Holland, Michigan with my wife and our 2 beautiful girls. Currently, I work as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer between managing the kids and cooking dinners.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading fiction, playing guitar, frisbee withour dog, cruising around on my bike and gardening.
